Coquinone30 = Coenzyme Q10

Coquinone30 contains Coezyme Q10 which is the essential part of the electron transport chain used to make ATP which is synthesized and used by every cell in the body. This is important for overall cellular energy, especially when using Creatine Monohydrate. Having ATP and Creatine Monohydrate without Coenzyme Q10, is like having peanut butter and jelly without the bread. Here is a link for you to further understand ATP: http://www.rice.edu/~jenky/sports/creatine.html

The main reason I take this product is for heart health. The heart has the highest demands for energy and that is why it contains more Coezyme Q10 than anywhere else within the body. Anyone who is serious about their sport or health needs Coenzyme Q10, especially if there are heart problems that run in your family. Photobucket
*Promotes a strong and healthy cardiovascular system
*Supports energy metabolism in muscles

Great for strength or endurance athletes!

Protein

Photobucket

No matter who you are, you need protien. Protien can not be stored by the body like Fats and Carbohydrates. That is why protien needs to be consumed every 3-4 hours. If you lack in taking in protien consistantly you will lose muscle mass resulting in negative strength gains and drop in sports performance. Do not let this happen to you!

Dispite the hype, research is showing that Soy protein has just as much if not more anabolic affects on muscle tissue as Whey. Combining Soy & Whey proteins has shown different absorption rates, which can lead to a longer lasting flow of nutrients throughout the body. This will help in the process of repairing muscle tissue that was damaged during training.
An Athlete needs .8-1.50 grams per pound of lean body weight.
Example: 225lbs. x .8-1.50 =180-337.5 Grams of protein a day.
Seems like alot doesn't it? It is hard to eat that much so plan on buying the protein supplement
to meet your needs as an athlete.
The harder you train the more you need!

Nutrition Bars

These bars are great for anyone on the go, athletes, active people or anyone looking to drop a few pounds. For athletes, it's essential to keep nutrients flowing within the body to help sustain energy levels when working out. These are not athlete meal replacement bars but rather a "quick fix" bar, to keep your body and mind going strong when you may go longer than 3-4 hours without food. This happens more with college students. You never know if practice will run late or if you're studying at the library and miss dinner. That is why you should have a healthy snack with you at all times.

Low-Glycemic FormulaFoods with a low-glycemic index raise blood glucose slowly, resulting in more sustained energy. In contrast, high-glycemic foods, such as some white breads, cause blood glucose to rise rapidly. Nutrition Bars are formulated to be low glycemic, providing sustained energy and greater satiety throughout the day.

  • The Peanut Butter Crunch Nutrition Bar has a glycemic index of 26.
  • The Oatmeal Raisin Nutrition Bar has a glycemic index of 34.

"Essentials" Vitamins and minerals

Photobucket
Essentials are what they are ESSENTIAL. It does not matter how much protein you consume in a day or what Nitric Oxide booster you drink before your workouts; if you don't have the micro nutrients taken care of, your just wasting your time. Micro nutrients are the vitamins and minerals that support cellular metabolism and counteract free-radical damage to your cells/muscles during and after a workout. The more damage you induce the more nutrients you need. Let me tell you if you are working out and not taking USANA's Essentials...your loosing the battle. It doesn't matter how much you eat and if you take vitamins from your local nutrition store; you are not meeting your needs as an athlete. The more you workout the more you need!
They can be bought at http://www.trueathletenutrition.usana.com/ at the product section or e-mail me at jonkalnas@yahoo.com Your performance depends on it!
